01 — About MeridianReview
Who is behind MeridianReview?
Meridian Review Ltd is an independent editorial company founded in 2026 and registered in England and Wales. We are a small team of writers and researchers based in London. We are not owned by, and do not operate, any gambling business.
How do you make money?
When you follow an outbound link to a casino brand we review, the operator may pay us a commission if you go on to open an account. That is our only source of revenue. It does not change what we write, and it never changes a score. Our full commercial arrangement is set out on the Disclosure page.
Do brands pay for a better score?
No. Commercial terms are agreed separately from editorial work, and the writer scoring a brand does not see them. If a brand asked us to change a score in exchange for money, we would decline and say so in the review.
Why do you only cover two brands?
Because we test properly. Every review on MeridianReview is based on a funded account, a completed identity check and at least two real withdrawal requests. That takes weeks per brand. We would rather publish two reviews we can defend than forty we cannot.
02 — Licensing and safety
What does a UK Gambling Commission licence actually give me?
A remote operating licence obliges the holder to keep customer funds separate from operating money, to verify age and identity before you can deposit, to offer deposit and loss limits, to register with GAMSTOP and to belong to an approved alternative dispute resolution scheme. Those obligations are enforceable. They do not exist outside the licensed market.
What is a "white label" brand?
A white label brand trades under its own name but operates on a licence held by another company. Both brands we review are white label domains under ProgressPlay Limited, account 39335. In practice that means ProgressPlay Limited holds your funds, controls your data and answers any complaint you escalate — not the brand name in the header. We state this on every review.
How can I check a licence myself?
Search the Gambling Commission public register for the account number or the domain name. We link to the exact register entry from every review so you can confirm our figures rather than take our word for them. If a brand is not on that register, it is not licensed to accept customers in Great Britain.
How often do you re-check licence details?
Every review is re-verified against the public register at least quarterly, and immediately if a reader tells us something has changed. The verification date is printed on each review page.
03 — Using our reviews
What goes into a score?
Six weighted categories: licensing and transparency, withdrawal speed, bonus terms clarity, customer support, payment coverage and safer-gambling tooling. Every category is scored from evidence we gathered ourselves. The How We Rate page explains the weighting in full.
Is MeridianReview suitable for under-18s?
No. This website is restricted to adults aged 18 and over. Gambling by anyone under 18 is a criminal offence in Great Britain, and every brand we link to is required to verify age before a deposit can be made.
Do you accept paid guest posts or link insertions?
No. We do not sell links, publish sponsored articles, or accept syndicated content. Everything on this website was researched and written by us.
I think something on this website is wrong. What now?
Tell us. Email editorial@meridianreview.co.uk with the page and the correction. We answer factual corrections within two working days and print an amendment note on the page when we change something material.
04 — Staying in control
What is GAMSTOP and how do I use it?
GAMSTOP is the free national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. You register once at gamstop.co.uk and every operator licensed by the Gambling Commission is required to block your accounts for the period you choose — six months, one year or five years. It cannot be reversed early.
Where can I get confidential help?
The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours a day. BeGambleAware.org offers live chat and self-assessment tools. Gamblers Anonymous runs free peer-support meetings across the UK. All three are independent of us and of any operator.
Can I block gambling transactions with my bank?
Most UK banks now offer a gambling block in their mobile app, usually with a cooling-off period of 24 to 48 hours before it can be lifted. Blocking software such as Gamban and BetBlocker adds a device-level layer. Used together with GAMSTOP, the three cover most routes back in.
